Our VELUX® repair service deals with all the common problems that affect roof windows, from stiff or difficult operation to leaks and seal failures. Our technicians diagnose the fault on site and fix it quickly and effectively.
We repair every VELUX model, including manual and electric operation systems, solar-powered units and conservation roof windows. Every repair includes a thorough inspection, replacement parts where needed and full testing to make sure the window operates as it should. All repairs are backed by our workmanship guarantee.
Common faults we fix
- Hinges and handles – worn or broken parts that stop the window opening or closing properly
- Ventilation flaps – damaged or stiff bottom flaps that no longer click shut
- Seals and gaskets – draughts, water ingress and noise caused by compressed or perished seals
- Glazing units – misted or cracked glass that can often be replaced without a new frame
- Flashing and weathering – leaks caused by the flashing kit, not the window itself
- Chains and motors – electric, solar and chain-drive operation faults
- Condensation diagnosis – telling the difference between a failed unit and a humidity issue
Diagnosed before we quote
We diagnose the fault on site before quoting. If the frame is sound, a repair is almost always the most cost-effective option. Where the frame has rotted, cracked or been repaired several times, we will explain why a VELUX replacement is the better long-term choice.
Leaks and emergencies
A leaking roof window can damage ceilings, plaster and furnishings quickly. Emergency call-outs are available 24/7 – call 01565 364369.

Frequently asked questions
Is it worth repairing an old VELUX window?
If the frame is in good condition and the problem is a mechanism, seal or glazing unit, a repair is usually the best route. If the frame has deteriorated beyond economical repair, replacement is the better long-term option.
Why is there condensation on my roof window?
Condensation between the panes means the sealed unit has failed and the glazing needs replacing. Condensation on the inside surface is usually a room humidity issue. We can tell you which it is.
Do you repair electric and solar VELUX windows?
Yes – including chains, motors, solar operation and control faults, as well as manual and conservation windows.
