Local Wilmslow Considerations for Sun Tunnel Installation
Sun tunnel installation in Wilmslow is ideal for hallways, bathrooms and utility rooms in the period and modern housing typical of local homes. We choose the right tunnel type for the roof and ceiling position.
What happens during a sun tunnel installation in Wilmslow?
For Wilmslow homes, we survey the roof covering, rafter positions and ceiling before fitting the roof dome, reflective tube and ceiling diffuser.
- We choose rigid or flexible tubing based on the straightness of the route and the light level needed.
- A small roof dome is fitted on the roof and a reflective tube is routed to the ceiling.
- The ceiling diffuser is installed in the room below and sealed neatly.
- The work area is cleaned and the system is checked before we leave.
Sun tunnel installation know-how for Wilmslow
For Wilmslow properties, we choose the tunnel type and route based on the period and modern housing of the home, roof pitch and the conditions the dome will be exposed to.
- Flexible tunnels are used when the route around roof timbers is not straight.
- Solar-powered and electric diffusers are available for hard-to-reach rooms.
- Longer tunnel runs and multiple bends reduce light output, so we design the shortest practical route.
- Rigid sun tunnels are the most efficient option when the roof dome is almost directly above the ceiling.
