Local Poynton Considerations for Sun Tunnel Installation
We fit rigid and flexible VELUX sun tunnels across Poynton and the Cheshire area. The right choice depends on the roof pitch, loft space and the distance to the ceiling diffuser.
What happens during a sun tunnel installation in Poynton?
A sun tunnel installation in Poynton is planned around the modern and period housing found in the property and the conditions it will be exposed to. We choose rigid or flexible tubing accordingly.
- The work area is cleaned and the system is checked before we leave.
- The ceiling diffuser is installed in the room below and sealed neatly.
- We check the roof covering, rafter positions and ceiling location to plan the route.
Sun tunnel installation know-how for Poynton
Sun tunnel performance in Poynton depends on keeping the route as short and straight as possible. We plan this during the initial survey for every property.
- We finish the ceiling diffuser and roof dome neatly to match the room and roof covering.
- Flexible tunnels are used when the route around roof timbers is not straight.
- Rigid sun tunnels are the most efficient option when the roof dome is almost directly above the ceiling.
- Solar-powered and electric diffusers are available for hard-to-reach rooms.
