Local Ayr Considerations for Sun Tunnel Installation
We install VELUX sun tunnels in Ayr and the surrounding area to bring natural daylight into rooms with no external wall. Rigid or flexible tunnels are chosen based on the roof and ceiling route.
What happens during a sun tunnel installation in Ayr?
We choose the shortest, most efficient route to bring daylight into the room below.
- The work area is cleaned and the system is checked before we leave.
- The ceiling diffuser is installed in the room below and sealed neatly.
- We choose rigid or flexible tubing based on the straightness of the route and the light level needed.
- A small roof dome is fitted on the roof and a reflective tube is routed to the ceiling.
Sun tunnel installation know-how for Ayr
For Ayr properties, we choose the tunnel type and route based on the Victorian architecture of the home, roof pitch and the conditions the dome will be exposed to.
- Solar-powered and electric diffusers are available for hard-to-reach rooms.
- Flexible tunnels are used when the route around roof timbers is not straight.
- Rigid sun tunnels are the most efficient option when the roof dome is almost directly above the ceiling.
- Longer tunnel runs and multiple bends reduce light output, so we design the shortest practical route.
